Education
I started working for a start-up to help set up & improve the HR department. Reporting directly to the CEO and working alongside the senior management team, I was involved in improving and implementing new systems and the OKR process for the HR department to ensure the goals aligned with the company. I participated in auditing requirements for HR and improved the departments' functionality to produce quicker and more effective results. I increased the headcount by approximately 200% in 1 year. Executed three redundancies from beginning to end in between 2023-2024
Highlights
- Responsible for the whole function of HR in the UK, UAE, and AUS which covered, Recruitment, Onboarding, ER, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Well-being, Learning & Development, Payroll etc.
- Increased the number of permanent staff from 90 to 260+ in 1 year for the UK team and built a new team of 44 in Abu Dhabi within 6 months.
- Established a process for an effective & smooth operation of the recruitment department.
- Saved the company over £500,000 in 1 year by proactively hiring in-house.
- Used various tools and implemented a new ATS system in the UK and AD.
- Implemented a new HR system in Abu Dhabi and currently in the UK.
- Responsible for the hiring of new entities in UAE, Australia, and the UK
- Conducted regular investigations for grievances & disciplinaries globally.
- Conducted dismissals for gross misconduct and probation terminations.
- Rolled out new contracts and handbooks which were issued to 270+ staff in the UK.
- Promoted employee well-being and conducted 30-minute one-to-one interviews with over 110 staff in 1 month.
- Organised a social members club for staff to get together outside of work.
- Set up an individual department to deal with the payroll and oversaw the process globally.
- Developed and monitored compensation and benefits programs aligned with the people strategy.
- Implemented the PRP strategy based on score, performance, and reviews for the company,
- Implemented an LTIP program to retain top talent.
- Created a training manual to ensure all staff are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Managed a team of up to 11 HR members and the EAs to the C suite.
- Responsible for the execution of 3 redundancies.
- Responsible for the execution of TUPE.
