Position: System Administrator \ Regional network Support Engineer
- Manages the daily operations of the PCC host computers by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair. Ensures minimum system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained. Applies revisions to host system firmware and software. Works with vendors to assist support activities.
- Trains technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and/or acquired.
- Oversee operation of the Bank’s ATM and POS to make sure that they are available for customer’s usage. Also support head of operations on effective and timely resolution of cash dispense issues.
- Network topology design.
- Project Management.
- Performs troubleshooting as required.
- Develops procedures to maintain security and protect systems from unauthorised use, acts of nature and user abuse.
- Local Area Network Integration.
- Installation and configuration of routers and switches
- Network monitoring to minimise down time
- Develops procedures, programs and documentation for backup and restoration of host operating systems and host-based applications.
- Provides leadership in planning and implementation of projects for computer operations, Networking and enterprise systems administration.
- Develops tools, procedures, and training sessions for Operations, Client Support and Systems Development staff to assist with work.
- Systems integration and maintenance
- Manages the data centre and computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment such as air-conditioning system, UPS (uninterrupted power system) and fire protection system.
- Installation, configuration, Servicing and maintenance of ATM(WINCOR)
- Installation of postilion/Vynamic view for monitoring ATM status
- Training of Custodians on ATM operation
- Field support
- Customers’ site profitability analysis before ATM deployment
- Data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Printer installation, repair and maintenance
- System user support
- Wireless network support
- Power backup support
- Web-server hardware and software support
- Monitoring of network traffic and security
- Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommends ways for PCC to take advantage of new technology.
