Ben Marriage

A highly skilled and passionate education professional with extensive experience in youth development, education management, and stakeholder collaboration. Over the course of my career, I have worked with diverse groups of young people, including those with SEND, Looked After Children (LAC), and vulnerable learners, supporting them to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

My roles have included managing educational programmes, coordinating apprenticeships and work placements, and delivering tailored support through multi-agency collaboration. As Development Coordinator at Yorkshire County Cricket Club, I oversee the recruitment and welfare of students in the Yorkshire Cricket College and coordinate meaningful placement opportunities, ensuring young people gain valuable skills and experiences.

Previously, as Education Manager and NCS Coordinator at Yorkshire Cricket Foundation, I managed large-scale educational initiatives, including the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme, supporting over 500 young people annually. These roles honed my expertise in mentoring, safeguarding, and creating personalised development plans for young learners.

I hold a PGCE in Secondary Physical Education (graded outstanding) and a First Class BA (Hons) in Physical Education and Sports Development. Known for my excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and commitment to improving lives through education, I am now seeking opportunities where I can further apply my skills to empower young people and drive meaningful change.

During my PGCE, I gained valuable experience through placements at Holy Family High School in Keighley, Bingley Grammar School, and Horsforth School, where I planned and delivered lessons to diverse groups of students. These experiences fostered my skills in classroom management, differentiated instruction, and supporting the development of young people. My academic foundation has been instrumental in shaping my career in education management and youth development, allowing me to deliver tailored, impactful programmes that drive student success.
