I have just finished a stint as Features Producer for BBC Sport. Before this, I was a Production Manager at Outline Productions and credits include Michel Roux’s Christmas in Provence Special (Discovery Channel / Food Network), Michel Roux’s Provence Masterclass S03 – 5 Episodes (Discovery Channel / Food Network) and Sarah Beeny’s New Country Lives S01 – 20 Episodes (Channel 4). Previously I was a Production Manager at BBC Studios and completed 7 episodes for Series 36 and 4 episodes for Series 37 of Casualty (BBC One).
Prior to this I was Head of Production at a small independent production company called Equine Productions, a creative agency specialising in equestrian sport and content. I have experience as a business minded HoD, Production Manager and Producer.
I believe my biggest strengths are my interpersonal and communication skills. I love working with crew and pride myself in good management, securing trust and respect bringing the best out in people.
I thrive working in a team and love nurturing and motivating people through a project from end to end, concept to delivery, and I have a particular strength in allocating responsibilities where best placed in order to optimise the quality of the work. I am experienced in managing large budgets and producing schedules, but also really enjoy the analytical side of things in order to report on progress and performance, and drive results.
Alongside my excellent people skills, I believe my biggest strengths are work ethic, attention to detail and ability to deliver under pressure, plus boundless energy and doing everything with a smile!
My background in brief is an undergrad degree in French and Spanish (Durham), Masters in Broadcast Journalism (City of London), 7 years working in TV in London - BBC Sport, Sky Sports News, creative agency BDA and production company Pretzel Films. I then moved into equestrian sport / features in 2013 as Senior Producer on the FEI (International Equestrian Federation) account at MBPtv, following which I was subsequently chosen to move with the account to IMG where I was for two years. I then headed back to my homeland of South Wales and independent production company Equine Productions where I was their Head of Production, before moving to BBC Studio's Casualty as a Production Manager, and now in the same role at Outline Productions.
I was a founding member of the live, broadcast and digital sides of FEItv and developed the product both in terms of production workflow and editorially to make it what it is today. I was Project Manager & Senior Edit Producer on the FEI's successful Rio 2016 Olympic broadcast campaign during which I managed a team to produce high-end internationally distributed documentary films, features and profiles. The equestrian TV journey took me all around the globe, to major championships and gave me experience in all parts of TV from pre to post, live to features.
