Carin Pellissier

I graduated as a landscape architect from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1998.

After graduation I got married and we lived abroad for 6 years, gaining experience from England and Australia. We returned to South Africa after our first child was born. I managed my own business for 20 years. In 2024 we moved to Scotland.

My passion is design and planting plans, and I love to work through plant choices to bring the design more to life. I have limited experience in Impact Assessments but am very keen to expand my career in that direction. Compiling information and writing documents I feel comfortable with.  I am currently volunteering to work on a LVIA for a development in Aberdeenshire to gain more experience.

I see myself as a fast, diligent worker that is trustworthy and conscientious towards my work, taking pride in what I do. I function well in a team but can also work by myself. I have a positive outlook on life and enjoy the blessings that come my way. As landscape designer I believe in the principles of Ian McHarg – to design with Nature. I like a natural approach with subtle formality to it.

I have worked over 20years in a Landscape Architects role, gaining experience in UK, Australia and South Africa.  I worked on a range of commercial, corporate and residential projects.
