About Cerys Davies:
I am currently completing my MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of South Wales. I wish to persure a career in clinical psychology.
Experience
From March 2020 to August 2021 I worked for Innovate Trust as a support worker. During this period, I was registered with Health and Social Care Wales as a Support Worker. This job provided me with valuable insight on working with individuals diagnosed with learning disabilities and mental health disorders.
Some of my key responsibilities included:
- Carrying out personal care
- Administrating medication
- Conducting regular finance and medication checks
- Completing paperwork
- Understanding Risk Assessments
- Managing challenging behaviour
I left this job to complete a summer internship research programme with the University of South Wales before returning to education to study my Masters degree.
From August 2021 to September 2021 I worked for the University of South Wales as a research intern. This position allowed me to have experience working within a more accademic setting.
Some of my key responsibilities included:
- Literature searching
- Writing journal article excerpts
- Conducting data analysis in SPSS
- Displaying my findings in appropriate measures in Word
Education
I am a current student of the University of South Wales, studying MSc Clinical Psychology.
In 2021 I graduated the University of South Wales was a First-Class Honours in Psychology BSc.
In 2017 I completed my A-Level studies at The College Merthyr Tydfil and secured three A-Levels: A Psychology, C Media Studies, C Mathematics.
In 2015 I left Cyfarthfa High School with nine GCSE’s including: A* Mathematics, B English, B Science, Distinction** Childcare.
