I’m passionate, conscientious and always strive to provide my best work within my employment.

I‘m a very active person and love going to the gym and playing golf, whilst also enjoying “down time” by reading and watching films.

I’ve worked at First Bus for the past 12 years where I qualified as a Mechanic. I have spent over a decade inspecting, diagnosing and repairing PSV‘s mechanically whilst also carrying out some electrical and body work when needed.

Within my time at first bus I have: 

• Gained my PSV driving licence. 
• Passed the inspection course which means I can inspect First Bus‘s vehicles in line with the annual inspection and MOT guidelines. 
• Passed First Bus’s breakdown course which allows me to assist the company by attending and repairing any buses that have broken down on the roadside.
• Been a qualified First Aider for 6 years.
• Gained a 5 year fork lift licence.
• Worked individually and as a team, meaning I’ve built confidence in my ability to work solve problems alone but also, able to work and communicate well with others. 
• Become an experienced First Bus Shop Steward and Unite Union Representative for Bradford and West Yorkshire. This includes leading wage negotiations and communicating with higher management which can quite often be difficult and challenging conversations.

• NVQ level 3  
• Over 12 years experience in the PSV industry.
