Hi my name is Chris and I've been married to Laura for 25 years and we have 3 boys. I love spending time with the family and going on holidays .
I have been in the Telecoms industry for 20 years. This is the industry I love being involved in . I have worked on the copper network for many years but now its great to be involved in the new fibre delivery .
I have gained many skills over the years from working in the BT copper network. From jointing cables underground to climbing telephone poles to installing phone lines , Now I work on the fibre network Splicing and building nodes .
A committed and imaginative team player with strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills, used in the management and delivery of customer requirements through both personal and team ownership. Results focused for both the business and customers with a passion for delivering best in class.
Experience
My current roll is FBC (Field Based Coordinator )looking after the new fibre network with Openreach. I have been with the company for 20 years along with BT ,I make sure Openreach partners a building the network to quality and to budget . I am the go to person who deals with any issues that may arise during the build. I also do the final audit of the build and if is it all good after walking it I will then commission the PON .

- Competent using BT systems including CSS, TASKFORCE, WOOSH, NATO, GEO HUB, ARTISIM, AUTOFIX, NETWORK RECORDS, SWQR ACCREDITED, FPQ SAFETY CHECKS, ORION, TADDS,
- Working at height installing copper and fibre cables. Climbing poles and using the new Tetra safety device. Use power tools hand tools.
- Excellent problem solver within home and business Broadband services. Covering slow broadband speeds to configure routers, (Business CISCO ROUTERS, HOME HUBS) internal wiring issues.
- Can use both EXFO AND JDSU testing equipment for ADSL/PSTN circuits. Also using BERT tester when working on ISDN lines along with EXFO OTDR for fibre work.
- Excellent at working in telephone exchanges with copper MDFs and fibre ODFs. Working in PCPs, DSLAMs and HOT SITE trained to work in substations.
- End to end expert in all aspects of provision and repair within the access network including fibre optic installation and testing.
Working in new Developments and Legacy sites.
I have done various coaching duties and covering manger over the years, dealing with RAMS for engineers to work in certain sites. Doing pre site surveys to enable installations to go ahead safely and effectively
