Move More Fitness – Owner / Personal Trainer Apr 2019 – Present

 

  • I have acquired my own client base by running my own advertising campaigns and by word of mouth.
  • I plan and coach outdoor group and 1-1 personal training sessions. Motivating groups of clients with fun but challenging and rewarding sessions.
  • Additionally, I help clients with nutrition, lifestyle, mental health, and accountability.
  • I manage a small team of part time personal trainers to help cover sessions.
  • Until August 2022, I was running this alongside my Sport Kitchen role. So, I have lots of experience of working under pressure and working well with a hectic workload.

 

Sport Kitchen – Client Relationship / Brand Manager Feb 2013 – Aug 2022

 

  • I provided excellent customer service and value to our client base which includes professional sports clubs, Olympic teams, athletes, gyms, and national / international retail chains. 
  • I managed all trade customer accounts, national and international, to ensure client retention with a value to the business of £400k per annum.
  • I pro-actively sought new leads and secured new business. The largest account secured was an international distributor which was worth £250k per annum.
  • I managed a manufacturing team and ensured they were a happy, productive team.
  • I managed other key day-to-day tasks such as recruitment, planning production runs, ordering materials through the supply chain, arranging the legal documents and transportation of export orders, and analysing sales data.

 

RAC Legal Services – Service Delivery (Operations) Manager Apr 2010 – Feb 2013 (made redundant)

 

  • I had 7 managers reporting to me in a department of 90 people and helped the department to surpass the £7m annual revenue target, by keeping everyone motivated and ensuring each department within the business was operating efficiently.
  • I dealt with performance staff management issues, appraisals, and team meetings.
  • I helped to retain large client accounts with a value of £1m+ per annum. I also helped prepare tender documents for business of a similar value.
  • I often attended client review meetings, I was always confident in leading these meetings with client retention and maximising revenue being key priorities.
  • I managed staff budgets totaling over £1.5m p/a.
  • I regularly analysed MI, quickly spotted any issues, and rectified immediately. 

 

 

RAC Legal Services - Uninsured Loss Claims Feb 2002 – Apr 2010

 

  • 2007 – 2010 I was the Team Manager of the claims team, responsible for 26 people and the day to day running of this busy insurance environment. 
  • I had to maintain and develop relationships with existing clients and key business stakeholders. 
  • I carried out 121's, appraisals, set targets and performance managed where appropriate
  • Before promotion to Team Manager, I progressed through the following roles within Claims - Claims Assistant, Claims Handler, Claims Negotiator, Senior Claims Negotiator / Team Leader
  • Within claims I handled motor claims for individual and corporate clients, recovering millions of pounds in losses from third party insurers. 
  • I had to be thorough and accurate with information and use my negotiation skills to get the best outcome.
