David Wilkinson

I have some 23 years’ experience in automation, working for some of the key players in the industry from Siemens, Rockwell and Honeywell, to name a few. During those years I have held technical positions as service engineer/ project engineer/ applications engineer, working on a variety of projects.  This work covered a variety of Instrumentation/PLC’s/ DCS/ SCADA systems. Often with an emphasis on migrating to newer systems while maintaining older systems. Over the last few years my roles have been more commercial either in a management capacity or project manager capacity, my 4 years at GEA I was heavily involved in the project management of several multimillion pound projects.

As part of a personal goal to retain into cyber security I have  attended SEC275 SANS Foundations – Computers, technology & Security course  and the SANS SEC401 Security essentials course, Gaining y GFACT cyber skill foundation course and am currently finishing my GSEC course. As I believe ICS cyber security will be a prominent area going forward.

I am also enrolled on TCM security course for Ethical hacking, Movement, pivoting and persistence , linux 101, and practical malware and analysis

As part of this interest I have been following podcasts such as the cyber-wire daily , and the daily stormcast and taking to reading a lot of books on the subject. I am also working through he TryHackme site and finding this great fun.

While I appreciate I don’t have experience in cyber security industry I am very willing to learn and believe my ICS skill set give me a unique set of capabilities to complement the new skills I am learning, as such I would like you to consider me for the attached role.
