I have been working as a Nutritionist helping people with obesity, I also deal with mental health with my roles. I giving talks to groups on Nutrition and following a standardised book given to all participants.

I have previously worked within the public as a diabetes prevention facilitator this is were i gained a great empathy and passion to help diabetic patients with their health issues. I have a great knowledge of the mechanism of this disorder and I would love to build on this knowledge with a new role such as Diabetic Retinopathy Screener.

I feel my experience of working within the diabetes prevention role and my passion to help these patients sets me apart from my peers, along with my commitment to learning and gaining new qualifications in this area of expertise.

Knowledge, skills and experience

■ I hold a 2:1 Bsc hons nutrition

■ I am computer literate with Word, Excel and extremely familiar with Power Point.

■ I prioritise tasks and have good problem solving skills. I use my initiative, work well in pressurised circumstances and can do so unsupervised.

■ I have excellent communication skills both written and oral with great effectiveness. I can work well with people on all levels in a team, keeping a calm, sensitive and reassuring manor.

■ I have many years of experience working with the public

■ I am able to follow policies/protocols and would be happy to receive training regarding patient confidentiality, infection control etc.

■ I hold a full, clean driving licence and own my own transport to travel to and from health centres, GP practices and other places of work with the programme area.

I have been a Lead Nutritionist for Everyone Health

I was a Diabetes Prevention Facilitator also dealing with mental health issues.

I have also been an Obesity prevention Facilitator dealing with mental health within this area.
