Dean Garnham

Thank you for reading this brief précis of my professional experiences and skills. 
 

I have worked in Oncology for over 25 years and have demonstrable experience and skills in both the clinical and education sectors. The majority of my career has been within the clinical environment however I spent a number of years working in my local HEI as a lecturer and clinical coordinator. My most recent position has been as a manager within radiotherapy.

I have managed a number of multimillion pound projects and led change within Oncology. My most recent achievement was leading on a project to remove paper from a busy radiotherapy department which has been both challenging and fulfilling. However ultimately they are now 99% paper free and the biggest change in the departments practice in 30 years has been a huge success.

In previous roles I have managed teams of clinical educators delivering high quality practical skills to undergraduate radiographers.

Alongside my clinical commitments I also acted as System Administrator for the Oncology Management System in both radiotherapy and chemotherapy. 
 

 It’s now time for a new challenge. Having taken a few months to reassess my aspirations and career options I’m keen to pursue a role within the private sector which utilises the skills developed within the NHS. These  include but are not limited to :-

• supporting and developing colleagues, 
• IT
