  • Brunswick is a London-based advisory firm specializing in communication and business-critical issues. The firm serves a diverse and large multinational client base from 27 offices in 19 countries.

Key responsibilities

  • Acting as deputy head for the global research and analysis unit.
  • Working with a London-based research team (7-10 members) in producing cross-sector market intelligence and insights to support client relationships and business development across the UK and Europe.
  • Research and analysis: Supporting client handlers with in-depth analysis in order to support transactions with existing clients or targeting new clients.
  • Supervision and project management: Supervision and project management of research requests, from leading discussions with client handlers on briefing, scoping and methodology to reviewing quality of output and eventual delivery.
  • Business development support: Conducting research and analysis to support business development activities, i.e. revenue generation initiatives and strategic growth priorities.
  • People management, recruitment and training: Line management responsibility for 2 members of the research team. Coach, mentor, appraise and develop research team members and junior client handlers.

  • Analyst supporting the Industrials (Manufacturing, Aerospace & Defence, Transport) and Support Services (Outsourcing, Facility Management, Engineering) sectors.
  • Reported into 3 front office Managing Directors, whose teams accounted for more than £200m of income. 

Key responsibilities

  • Supported 3 Managing Directors with research and analysis that allowed them to strengthen client relationships and optimise business development and origination efforts. 
  • Collaborated closely with the front office sales teams on select transactions and pitches. 
  • Conducted research and analysis on trends, issues and developments in the Industrials and Support Services sectors as to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Line management responsibility for 1 assistant research manager and 2 Barclays summer interns, and project managed and mentored a number of associate directors.
  • Acted as the coordinating person for the offshore research team in India as to brief them on new research projects and to discuss methodologies.

  • Analyst in the Consulting division of the Consumer/FMCG sector division. Datamonitor’s Consulting division offers bespoke research and analysis solutions to clients for projects where data sets and information is not available in data repositories or in the public domain. Clients included major European and US FMCG companies.
