After successfully working in a self-employed role, I am now seeking a new opportunity that offers greater stability, the chance to work within a structured team environment, and opportunities for long-term development. I am keen to apply my existing skills while continuing to learn and take on new challenges that align with my long-term career goals. I am keen to move into a finance environment where I can contribute my skills while continuing to develop professionally. I have several years of experience working in a finance role where I have been responsible for managing financial records, budgeting, monitoring income and expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial procedures. I am comfortable working to deadlines, prioritising workloads, and managing multiple tasks. I have strong IT skills and experience working with multiple systems, including Microsoft Excel and Word. I regularly use Excel for data entry, reconciliations, and financial tracking, and I am confident in learning new financial systems.I am well organised, self-motivated, and able to demonstrate initiative while also working effectively as part of a team. I communicate confidently both verbally and in writing and am comfortable providing guidance, supporting training activities, and assisting colleagues when required. 

I bring over 10 years of professional experience across finance administration, business operations, and team leadership in regulated and fast-paced environments. As a self-employed Driving Instructor since 2016, I have managed all financial aspects of my business, including bookkeeping, income and expense tracking, tax calculations, and HMRC Self Assessment submissions.

In addition, I currently support a charitable organisation as a part-time Bookkeeper, processing invoices, maintaining sales and purchase ledgers, preparing financial data for reports, and assisting with year-end accounts. Earlier in my career, I progressed to Team Leader in a large production environment, where I supported finance administration, invoice processing, and audit preparation, contributing to significant cost savings.My background demonstrates strong organisational skills, attention to detail, compliance awareness, and confidence in using Excel and financial systems.

I am currently studying the AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting (2025–2026) at Derby College, developing formal knowledge in bookkeeping principles, financial transactions, and accounting processes.

I also hold Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths from Derby Adult Learning Centre
