About Dylan Castro:

Personally, I believe I possess a strong combination of qualities and values that make me well-suited for the Underwriting Assistant role. I display excellent communication skills and have the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships. I am analytical, confident and have a strong ability to work under pressure. All of these qualities I have demonstrated across both my academic courses and all types of work experiences.

As a high-performing student, I achieved grades of equivalent to A*, A, A In my Business BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma, alongside achieving additional qualifications, all of the qualifications were completed with top results. These achievements reflect my ability; to work hard, stay focused, manage different tasks and continuously stay results driven.

Myself and other people around me would state that a key strength of mine is the ability to partner and work collaboratively. This has consistently shown through;my time as a Hospitality Host and during times such as the ‘London Marathon’. Throughout this part-time work, I demonstrated professionalism, the ability to communicate effectively as well as support employees around me during high-pressure times. Furthermore, my most recent work experience which was conducted at Connells Group and LBP UK Limited has allowed me to enhance my problem-solving skills as well as my knowledge. Whilst I was shadowing Financial Directors and Account Managers and observing their continuous interactions with clients; I gained an important understanding of how to balance risks, use analytical skills and pay close attention to detail.

Overall, I am a highly motivated Extended Diploma graduate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, achieving A* and A grades across Business Studies. Experienced in meeting client needs through part- time work and professional experience, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork abilities. I am eager to apply my academic knowledge and skills in a dynamic entry-level position in the insurance sector, specifically within underwriting.
