I am a qualified teacher with more than 20 years experience within the U.K and abroad from Foundation Stage to KS2 within preparatory, international, academies and state schools. 

I have been a Year 3 Team Leader and a year 1 and currently a 4 Class Teacher at my current school. As a team leader, I have been responsible for reporting to the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher as well as school Principal.  Successfully Observing lessons for team members. Being interviewed as a Team Leader by Accreditation Boards as well as by a organisation delegation TEAM that visited our school in April 2022.  Planning and checking Year 3 planning and supporting and mentoring my team members. Liaising with Year 3 parents and Parent Representatives through Class Dojo or emails as well as hold Parent Meetings. Working together with parents through Meet the Teacher or Parents evenings/ days. Safeguarding of children and raising awareness as well as recording any issues. Holding Transition Meetings for new Incoming Year 3 children and parents from Year 2. Conducting Year group Planning Meetings. Writing letters and informing parents of upcoming events through emails or Class Dojo. Assessing, monitoring and tracking pupils progress in Yea 3 through Reading Tracker, Baseline and Intervention groups/ termly tracker. Liaising and working with LDD and EAL department. Working together and supporting my class parents through parent’s meetings, emails and class parent rep. Conducting Basketball as an Extra Curricular Activity after school. 

Achievements & Successes:  Achieved an 88%, 87%, 90%, 95% PASS RATE as Year 3 Cohort End of Year Data tracking Form in Reading, Writing, Maths and Science, Respectively. Managed to retain all my students who will be subsequently going up to Year 4. Maintained good Parent relationship throughout the year. Managed to motivate my team and worked together as a team.
