Ellie Jones

I am a confident, bubbly, dedicated and hardworking person who can bring multiple skills to any task. I have completed multiple events which will help in the retail area, such as; bag packing, charity selling and multiple other activities which will help me with my communication skills. I am a hands-on person who is highly motivated. I enjoy reconstructing, organizing and cleaning areas and other hands-on activities. I have increased my fluency with multiple computer design software solutions such as; Revit, 3D Design, Photoshop and Sketch-up. I have also used machinery such as a laser cutter to produce models and detailed cutouts for my artwork. I love being creative and unique, these key skills help me create innovative and detailed designs in my work. 

I am an active person who is competitive in the sporting industry. I have competed in many sports including; football, netball, boxing, tennis and more. i am also the lead coach for u13 South Staffordshire county netball. 

I previously worked at the fast-food restaurant McDonald where I obtained night shifts for approximately 3 months.

I attended work experience at Sandwell Council on the 12th-16th of March 2017 and then reattended for the second year of work experience on the 9th -13th of July 2018. During my time at Sandwell Council, I studied the following areas: Architecture, Landscape Architects, Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying and Urban design. When completing work experience at Sandwell Council, we used Revit and Sketch-Up to create garden layouts for a four-bedroom family house. I was given the chance to attend work experience at The Space Studio (Architects and Interior Design) LTD in Birmingham, on the 6th- 10th July 2020, however, it was cancelled because of COVID-19.

Thomas Telford UTC is where I studied to complete my GCSEs and sixth form, where I studied further education in A-Levels and BTEC construction. The GCSE qualifications I have taken include math; English, science, construction, architecture/ art and design, and photography. I have chosen these subjects as they are the main qualifications for a career in Architecture. I also studied a Pearson Level 3 National Extended Diploma in construction and the built environment and A-Level art. I am now an architecture student at the University of Wolverhampton.
