About Emily Chambers:
I am a versatile and enthusiastic person with a positive attitude towards work and progression. I have a very caring and understanding personality allowing me to approach all situations tactfully and sensitively. I enjoy working together with my colleagues as well as using my own initiative to overcome challenges and to meet objectives as quickly and efficiently as possible. Having achieved high grades throughout my schooling, including the first 2 completed years of my nursing degree and having worked in a variety of jobs including mental healthcare and physical health care in adults and children, customer services, call handling and office administration, I have developed and become proficient in many skills, excellent at managing multiple tasks and working under pressure.
Through working within the MPFT for 6 years, both as a permanent and bank member of staff on Newport House (Medium secure forensic ICU) and having nursing placements within the trust, I have gained a great deal of valuable experiences tackling and controlling challenging situations with confidence, care, and compassion.
I have developed a wide range of professional skills:
Computer literacy (including Word, Excel and the use of internet search engines for research purposes), strong literacy and numeracy skills, general office administration tasks, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, observational skills, cash handling, self-motivation, records maintenance, strong verbal and written communication, excellent time management skills and task prioritisation skills, diligence, conscientious problem solving, venepuncture, ECGs, basic First Aid, CPR and manual handling, exceptional care and support of people aged from 2 to 98, designated fire marshal in previous workplace and security procedures (including De-escalation Management Interventions or ‘DMI’ within a healthcare setting).
In my personal life I have earned 3 Black Belts in two different disciplines of Martial Arts.
