My objective is to succeed. I am no stranger to hard work, long days and mind knotting faults. As my close mates became acquaintances, my grades are emerging into A-levels. I am an extrovert that grew into an introvert, a pessimist that remoulded to an optimist and a spinner of yarns to a fortune teller. I am a confident, fit and healthy young man who takes pride in my image just like I do with my work. I am often quiet at the start because I know everybody respects someone who gives them a moment out their day to listen. Respect can not be demanded, it must be earned. I like to let people talk about what they want so I know how to make them laugh, I enjoy making work upbeat and energetic; grafting, grinning and getting the job done.  I was born in the year of the snake (2001) two days before halloween,  I have always been captivated by electronics since my early days so it was unquestionable to me what I’d be working towards after school. After college I secured myself into a big company which was a big mistake, I was led to believe I’d be put through my electrical engineering apprenticeship but instead I was ‘thrown’ on production, as I can now for a backup plan,  and my natural work-ethic cemented my place in the factory. Nearly five years later I feel unappreciated and that all my hard work had gone to waste. I want a new fresh start so I can fulfil my personal expectations.

Joinery (roof work) | March 2019 – February 2020

Advanced joinery work at height on site, family owned business. Basic heavy labour. Advanced waterproof rubber roofing.

Warehouse operative (DHL temporary role), Long eaton |February – June 2020

Basic picking and packing, loading and unloading trailers plus basic put away.

Ibstock Brick – Dorket Head, Arnold. Production Operative – June 2020

Advanced machine operation, intensive manual labour, short hard deadlines to meet daily.

Production Supervisor (promotion) - April 2023 – February 2024

Advanced shift organisation keeping every machine up and running for the whole shift whilst still making sure everyone gets the break time they are owed whilst still running a machine of my own. Weekly numbers reports to supervisors

I feel like I took on this role a long time before this because I always wanted our shift to get the best scores so I’d keep my ears on my machine and run over to advice my co-workers. Everyone was sacred to use the machine and move everything by hand because it a pain to get it back into sequence but you can not teach and old dog new tricks, even if they do respect you.

I feel like the most important thing I will take from Ibstock brick is how to carry myself professionally and punctually. another important thing I will take from Ibstock is how to earn respect.

Vape Juice Warehouse Supervisor – February 2024 – Present

Optimised warehouse utilisation, picking and packing, sending and receiving orders, stocking and packing the new stock, sorting customer problems with shipping and tracking and helping sales team at Expo shows fortnightly.
