Francesca De Silva

Hello! I am Francesca De Silva, a student studying law at Royal Holloway University of London. As an 18-year-old student, I am eager to learn and contribute in a meaningful way, bringing a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to take on new challenges. I am quick to adapt, open to learning new skills, and ready to bring fresh energy to any team.

As for the things I am passionate about; I am driven by a deep passion for law and committed to understanding its complexities and using it to make a positive impact on society - hence me choosing to study law as a course at university. I am particularly interested in corporate law as the success of businesses through legal expertise is something that has always been a keen interest of mine, to which I am always wanting to learn more about the sector.

I have experience within the law field. Shadowing an immigration solicitor, I observed the intricacies of client consultations, legal research, and case preparation. This hands-on exposure deepened my understanding of not just immigration law but also the importance of attention to detail and client care in legal practice. It has also provided me with an insight into working closely with clients, managing case files, and assisting with legal research and documentation. This experience highlighted the importance of teamwork, client confidentiality, and the practical application of legal knowledge in a professional setting.

Moreover, I have had non-profit/volunteering experience as a student. I was always offering to volunteer at sixth form, which had led to me gaining hands-on experience when it came to running events at my college. This enhanced my organisational skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

I completed A-levels at sixth form with a focus on Psychology, Sociology, and History - providing a solid foundation in critical thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of human behaviour and societal structures.
