Home Services / Social Care
About Francesca Rankin:
I am a motivated third year university student working towards a BA Hons Degree in Social Care, Justice and Recovery. I left school with 7 GCSE’s, college with D*D*D* and have recently completed a semester abroad studying Social Pedagogy in Munich. I have been working in a Homeless Shelter alongside my course since March, in which I have thrived and confirmed my passions for supporting adults with mental health, substance misuse, homelessness and parole. Due to relocating back to University in Leeds I am now looking for employment in this same field, where I can still put my knowledge, experiences, skills and heart into practice. I have an end goal of graduating and working as a qualified practitioner within this field, touching every life that I can. I am looking for this employment because I am very passionate about caring for vulnerable individuals and believe that I can deliver the best care and support possible. I handle situations well under pressure and am able to give individuals a sense of comfort at times of distress. I have found from my previous experience that I have been easily approachable and individuals I have worked with feel as though they can confide in me. I enjoy creating fun and trustworthy bonds with people I support and thrive off knowing that I have helped people to maximize their independence. I have work experience in nurseries, support work, a florist, dance schools, social care and restaurants. I have great people and communication skills. I am highly passionate about dance and this is something that I have done since I was 3 years old, which shows my commitment.
