Education / Training
About Frankie Hughes:
I am a motivated and ambitious undergraduate studying Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Exeter, predicted to achieve a First/2:1. My academic studies, combined with practical experiences in sports performance analysis, coaching, and administration, have developed my ability to analyse data, communicate insights clearly, and thrive under pressure in fast-paced environments.
During my placement as a Performance Analyst Intern with Exeter Chiefs Rugby, I supported elite athletes by filming, coding, and delivering detailed performance reports. This strengthened my technical accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork within a professional sporting environment. Beyond analysis, I have gained leadership and mentoring experience as captain of Copdock Ladies First XI and as a coach for youth cricket, where I designed and delivered training sessions, managed diverse groups, and motivated athletes to achieve their goals.
Alongside my sporting commitments, I have worked in administrative, childcare, and hospitality roles, building resilience, organisation, and strong stakeholder management skills. These experiences have given me a versatile skill set and the confidence to adapt quickly, whether working independently or as part of a team.
With a passion for both performance and the business of sport, I am eager to apply my skills in the sports industry — particularly in areas such as sports marketing, partnerships, and commercial operations — where I can contribute to innovative projects, grow audiences, and deliver value to teams, athletes, and fans.
