Fredericka Kearns

With an extended diploma of Art and Design, a plethora of experience for said subjects within multiple workplace and volunteer environments and a record of conceptualizing and executing innovative, high quality and well-regarded graphical work, I have an obvious and unstoppable passion for all things design and artistic, and I hope put my talents to good use.

I have had experience Designing and creating media that are consistent with the brand, style and ethos of the organization, within both a Kickstart at Ykids and work placement, both of which, I was kindly regarded for my designs and skill. 

As a Design and Media assistant at Ykids (2021), I would conceptualise and design clean, finished visuals, such as posters, banners, flyers… etc, as well as help with the designs of other employees present. 

Within Southport College I undertook a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Graphic Design) course in which I was graded with a Distinction.  I was quickly known for my creative thinking and constant improvement in my skill.

Within the course we were given a multitude of briefs and projects where we would design a plethora of graphics, all with different themes and styles. I would do my research into into the subject at hand and wright down the facts of the matter and my own personal thoughts on it onto the college blog. After that I would conceptualise many alternative ideas for what the end product could turn out to be. When it came to creating the end result I often used the Adobe Cloud Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, However, I would often mix in traditional design to add a more authentic feel to the design.
