Freya Pattemore

I am a recent graduate from the University of Manchester after obtaining a first in Education. I am currently looking for full time work. I am outgoing, hardworking and a quick leaner! I have lots of experience in a variety of sectors. Primarily in education, accounting, and hospitality. I am excited to grow my current skill set even further.

I have worked as an Events Assistant at Puply where I dealt with all customer needs to a high standard and ensured all the events ran smoothly. Having strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure was essential for this role. 
 

In addition, I have completed three seasons at the Millfield English Language Holiday Course, which is a summer school for 12-18 year olds. I have worked as an activity leader and assistant houseparent on this course. Both providing me with the skills to lead large groups of students, dealing with a variety of scenarios including conflict resolution. From this, my empathy, teamwork, and confidence skills were developed. 

I have also completed an Accounting Internship at Glencore which has provided me with strong financial, professionalism, and time management skills, all these skills provide me with the ability to thrive in hospitality.

I have just achieved a first in my undergraduate degree in Education. This degree primarily divulges into the politics, psychology, and philosophy behind education. This educational experience has given me the ability to work efficiently under stress as well as being able to do complete independent learning. For example, for my dissertation, which I wrote on the gender differences in math self-efficacy and how this effects choice into joining a career in STEM, I did all my research completely independently, which led me to achieve a high first in this.
