I am a driven and passionate digital professional with a track record of delivering success for brands across media, tech and agency roles from start up to global enterprise and from IC to global leader  

My background is heavily weighted to delivering growth through  strategy and business transformation and also includes technical, media, creative and data led work with many of the world’s top brands.

I have served on advisory boards at technology platforms including google (GMC AND GCP), meta, twitter (X) and OpenX. As well as holding positions on media industry councils around regulation and data privacy.

Senior Strategic Partnerships Lead


 

As Shopify launched their enterprise offering, I was brought in to lead delivery of the strategic partnership ecosystem required to deliver for these new set of client targets. I had responsibility for signing agreements and growing the partnerships with global systems integrators/consultancies and large agency networks.


 

Sourced and launched regional partnerships with companies including, EY, Accenture, EPAM, IBM, WPP. 

Key deliverables include:

  • Contracting and negotiation of terms and value with senior stakeholders
  • Product/service offering development
  • Deployment of scaled training and certification to cover tens of thousands of staff
  • Delivery of co-marketing and events strategies and implementation 
  • Establishing process for and delivering co-pitches to the region's largest brands and retailers Nestle, including, MARS, Matalan, H&M group, Apple, LEGO and IKEA


 

My partnerships have delivered an enterprise pipeline of over $14 billion in potential value as well as over $5 million in closed won business. 

This framework for recruiting and scaling these enterprise partnerships has now been around other global regions and is allowing Shopify to compete globally against established, incumbent competition. 


 


 

CONSULTING PROJECTS

ESG - CMO Contract


 

As acting CMO, my role was to ideate the platforms we create and to plan and deliver research projects to assess demand and market opportunity.  I worked with the product and finance teams to build investor packs to deliver funding and define marketing requirements to facilitate the product to launch. 

My focus was on identifying opportunities for growth, building out business strategies to deliver funding and product development to reach MVP stage. This includes developing the brands, their marketing strategies and then recruiting the teams to deliver against these strategies (both internal and partner agencies).

I have helped to grow the business to 19 staff and have secured the funding needed to deliver two products at the MVP stage to market, as well as establishing the teams required to grow and drive to revenue target delivery.


 

Digital Media Project Consulting


 

Working with independent agencies, publishers and advertisers to set up their digital teams and product offerings and pricing structures.

Projects delivered included;

  • Web 3 and creator community management
  • Future Facing developer remuneration strategy 
  • Tech/platform licensing, including management and negotiation of commercial agreements

MEDIACOM (WPP)                                                                                         

July 2014 - July 2020

Joined in 2014 to lead their programmatic and performance teams. Since then promotions expanded my remit to manage all areas of Digital at the agency from long term client strategy through to tactical activation and analytics.

MediaCom is the largest agency in the UK and the third largest in the global WPP holding group with billings of £1.4Bn, servicing over 270 clients across category sectors. My roles have all had direct client ownership responsibility, allowing me to develop unique solutions for all clients regardless of scale or category.

Managing Partner and Head of Digital         

During my time at MediaCom I led digital pitches at a UK and Global level that have yielded over £750MM in new billings and have taken MediaCom from number 4 to number 1 in UK digital billings. These pitches included Sky, Adidas, Playstation, DLG, Boots, TUI, Merlin, Sony Electronics, Lloyds Banking Group, Tesco, Bayer, Cancer Research, DFS, Coca Cola, P&G, PSA/Vauxhall and Hasbro.

  • Designed and implemented a restructure of over 1,200 staff in the UK agency to place the digital specialist teams closer to the clients, in order to elevate the practice of Digital. This resulted in Mediacom becoming the most awarded agency in the UK in 2019.
  • Responsible for review and delivery of a groundbreaking approach to attribution and measurement.
  • Managed a team of 180 staff to deliver all Digital implementations for the agency including: Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliates, Trafficking and Operations, Reporting and Analytics, Programmatic/ IO Display and Technology.
  • Setting out and overseeing digital and data maturity plans for the agency's Top 20 billing clients, across multiple categories, including Universal, Sky, Tesco, Playstation, Boots Walgreens and Coca-Cola.
  • Represented the agency and WPP to trade bodies including the IAB as well as on partner leadership advisory boards including Google, The Trade Desk, Microsoft and Verizon.
  • Rebuilt MediaCom’s digital data and tech infrastructure and narrative in order to kickstart a new business drive, which has resulted in the agency being asked to pitch against and has won new business from digital/performance specialists.
  • Primary senior Digital client relationship owner for 3 core business clients, currently DFS UK, Sky EMEA and MARS Global representing a combined spend of over £400MM.
  • Established a Digital commerce practice within the agency. Since launch it has added value across CPG, Entertainment and Consumer Electronics with both strategic consultancy and activation across digital commerce, ecommerce and online marketplaces.
  • Developed a Dedicated Google Marketing Platform practice within the agency, to ensure continued business opportunities with clients as they look to establish in house capabilities.

PROJECT SUNBLOCK 

CO FOUNDER COMMERCIAL & PRODUCT LEAD                                  

Dec 2011- June 2014

Project Sunblock was the first Brand Safety technology solution in Europe and globally the first to be independently accredited by ABCe. I led the Commercial and Product services.

From its inception Project Sunblock worked with clients, agencies and media owners to safeguard Brands online.

  • Built out and managed a Development team working both locally and remotely to deliver a market leading technology platform that could address a market gap in Brand Safety.
  • Responsible for sourcing and appointing a CEO for the business expansion. Together we successfully raised three rounds of funding over 18 months from both private and institutional investors totalling over £3,000,000.
  • Ownership of core Product partners including AWS, Google, Microsoft and IBM.
  • Establishing a technical Account management team of 8.
  • Succeeded in hitting revenue objectives to release investment tranches for 6 successive quarters.
  • Responsible for building a book of business that included large clients such as Microsoft (global), BT, Orange, GroupM, Omnicom, Havas, Specific Media, Publicis and Virgin Media.
