                                      Learning Support Assistant

Here I was supporting students with additional needs at the college. This included offering practical support in a range of subjects in a classroom environment. The help included offering verbal prompts, spelling and reading and maths help, and at times emotional support and guidance. 

2014 – Present Self Employed

Duties include working with clay, designing and producing handmade tiles to order.  I produce  marketing materials  electronically and in print. I take orders via email and phone from general public, interior designers and retail stores. I sustain repeat custom. I order stock, generate invoices and book couriers.  I ensure that the product is manufactured to the highest of standards.

Support Coordinator/Support worker

During my time here I had two different roles. As a support coordinator I was responsible for coordinating day service opportunities for adults with learning disabilities. This involved being responsible for 7 members of staff within the office. This included holding meetings, taking minutes, providing admin for the team as well as carrying out supervision and appraisals. I was also responsible for health and safety within the building, and all money and medication held on site. In this role I also had to collate data on both a weekly and monthly basis and send it to the relevant department within the local authority.  I then changed job role and was positioned as a support worker this involved me planning and implementing craft activities with adult learners with disabilities. maintaining a safe and secure working environment, following strict policies and procedures and reporting any issues to the manager.
