I bring strong cultural competency to the table with over 300 hours of counselling experience with Lancashire BME Network, where I’ve worked closely with BAME communities. This experience has enhanced my cultural competency, allowing me to understand and respectfully approach individuals' cultural views while maintaining a professional and empathetic manner. In my current role at Barnardo’s, I work closely with children from diverse cultural backgrounds, and my experience on BetterHelp has further broadened my understanding of working with clients from around the world. This exposure has helped me develop sensitivity to cultural issues and the provided me with the ability to navigate complex cultural issues. As a result, I am competent at building rapport and working with individuals from all walks of life, regardless of age or background. I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from children to older adults, each facing unique challenges.
