Hamid Ahmed

My name is Hamid Ahmed and I am a creative individual who's willing to learn and gain new skills. I am also well-organised and very determined to achieve my goals.

I have completed work experience as a Front Desk Receptionist at a concierge. The skills I gained from my work experience was that I had been able to engage with residents and staff in the building, expanding my customer skills which will help me in the future when dealing with customers. I also collaborated with the concierge and management team in various roles which improved my teamworking and communication skills. I have also completed work experience for a social media company that gave me the role to edit adverts for companies, design posters and manage social media pages. I have collaborated with the team to create a website for a shoe company and create posts on a LinkedIn account for a loft conversions service. I have also participated in livestreams answering questions.

I studied Creative Media at New City College, Redbridge Campus, and I would like to do an apprenticeship in Digital Marketing. I am interested in pursuing a career in Digital Marketing as it is an area of media, I find fascinating, and the field is constantly growing. So many people are into digital marketing because it is very efficient for growing a business especially in the new age of social media and technology.

I really enjoyed my course and my favourite projects that I have done are, my app design prototype for my chosen music artist. I enjoyed designing my app because I was able to be fully experimental, seeing what works and having full control of how I wanted my app to look. I really like the design of my app pages with the use of distinct colours, the fonts, and the icons. The skills I gained from this project is developing my adobe XD skills. I am now confident using Adobe XD to design prototypes, do effective research to create flowcharts for step-by-step approaches.

What I have enjoyed learning about in Creative Media is learning how to use a camera, edit videos using Premiere Pro and design images using Canva. Creative Media has improved my practical skills drastically and it has expanded my creativity as well as opening opportunities for me to use these skills in my future career.
