Senior project Manager, Dept (March 2023– present)

My main responsibilities as Senior Project Manager at Dept include:

  • Planning, forecasting and delivering digital projects (websites / new functionality) for clients such as London Marathon, Triumph Motorcycles and OVO Energy on time and to budget
  • Facilitating daily stand-ups
  • Facilitating ways of working sessions to ensure approach is agreed with all stakeholders and internal staff

Project Manager, Mando Agency (June 2019 – February 2023)

My main responsibilities as Project Manager at Mando Agency include:

  • Planning, forecasting and delivering digital projects (websites / new functionality) for clients such as British Red Cross, United Utilities and IISS) on time and to budget
  • Acting as Scrum Master for Agile projects
  • Running Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, refinement sessions, retrospectives, reviews/show & tells & lessons learnt)
  • Working with Product Owners and Programme Managers to manage the product backlog (continuous improvements for clients) ensuring the success of all work

Project Executive, D2i Systems (June 2018 – May 2019)

My main responsibilities as Project Executive at D2i Systems include: 

  • Managing and delivering projects; ranging from software to logistics in a variety of industries within time, budget and quality
  • Carrying out discovery workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements in order to agree scope, aims, outcomes, risks, issues, approx. timelines etc. 
  • Documenting the requirements in a detailed Target Solution document to effectively plan
  • Creating and updating the communication and governance document 
  • Creating detailed project plans using MS Project and keeping this updated throughout
  • Controlling risks and issues using a RAID log
  • Managing changes through projects using change logs and change controls in order to get client sign off to carry out the scope change.
  • Assigning and managing resource using float
  • Managing work packages for developers via Jira
  • Creating communication channels using Microsoft Team which acted as a point of contact for the project team
  • Conducting and chairing daily stand ups 
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients via weekly calls and regular face to face meetings in addition to weekly project highlight reports
  • Tracking forecast project costs against budget using Jira and Microsoft Excel

Account / Project Executive, Reading Room (May 2017 – June 2018)

Account / Project Executive working across multiple digital platforms with the aim of supporting the Project Management team and maximising profit and revenue generation. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Managing a portfolio of clients including Middlesbrough FC, Youth Sport Trust and Everyman Playhouse
  • Accurately costing, planning, delivering and reviewing projects 
  • Owning key accounts in order to identify opportunities for growth, cross selling and increased revenue. 
  • Biggest achievement was upselling a client for Single Sign-on functionality and delivering the work. It was quoted for 43 days and delivered within 35 days making £5,600 profit 
  • Dealing with purchase orders and invoices
  • Working in an Agile and Waterfall methodology
  • Carrying out daily scrum meetings
  • Managing fortnightly sprints with clients and developers to achieve the minimum viable product
  • Reviewing and maintaining the resourcing of project teams using Float
  • Creating communication channels using Slack which acted as a point of contact for the project team
  • Providing clients with updates through Jira and highlight reports
  • Maintaining relationships with clients to generate revenue and manage expectations
  • Dealing with client requests and providing exceptional customer service
  • Carrying out user acceptance testing to efficiently proof check all work before sending it to the client
