Experimental Dissertation: Characterisation of the Mechanism of Action of Irreversible, Covalent EGFR Inhibitors by Molecular Modelling.

In my Master’s Degree, my experimental project taught me to use wet-lab and dry-lab/in-silico techniques across several months to investigate a designated hypothesis and achieve consistent results. This experience strengthened my skill in researching peer-reviewed literature to support and explain my findings, gave me a first experience at handling lung cancer cell cultures using the EGFR inhibitor Osimertinib, and I also acquired some valuable experience in molecular modelling with the PyMol software. Additionally, I also gained more confidence in delivering presentations in front of peers, increasing the fluency of my delivery and presentation.
