Harry Whitehead-Jones

I have a strong passion for medicine with an eagerness to learn about human anatomy and physiology. I am keen to give all patients the best care and experience possible, whilst following set procedures effectively and efficiently. In my voluntary position at MDU (Cheltenham General Hospital) I supported nurses in with a variety of tasks, raising any concerns, accordingly, supporting and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team. 

I am a loyal, talented, and caring swim teacher who loves nurturing the swimming skills of children of any age. I am open-minded, patient, and supportive towards others, especially children and supporting individuals with additional needs. In my previous role, I have taught and supported more than 50 students from varying backgrounds, preparing them for the next stages of their development as swimmers. Teaching non-swimmers to prepare them to progress up to the next level and onwards. 

Swimming teacher for over 5 years in various settings, from leisure centers to private companies. Has experience with all stages from Level 1-10, teaching children as well as adults. Has good communication skills with colleagues, parents and students (including children with additional needs). Also able to adapt to varying situations. 

Volunteer HCA at Cheltenham General hospital for 6 months supporting with the care of patients on the Medical Day Unit (MDU) with varying medical conditions. Experience ranges from general patient care to assisting patients mobilize and taking patient observations. Can communicate effectively between patients and staff, highlighting concerns and recording information accurately.
