Hashim Mahmood

As a Drug Safety Officer at Pfizer, I am responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and reporting adverse events related to the company's products, in compliance with ICH and regulatory guidelines. I use Argus Safety, a pharmacovigilance software, to manage and analyze data, and to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. I have been working in this role for two years, and I have contributed to the safety and efficacy of Pfizer's drugs, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from The Manchester Metropolitan University, where I gained a solid foundation in the principles and applications of biology, chemistry, and medicine. I am passionate about drug development and patient safety, and I aspire to advance my career in the pharmaceutical industry. I have developed strong skills in adverse event reporting, data management, problem-solving, and teamwork, and I am eager to learn new technologies and methods to improve the quality and impact of my work.

• Experienced argus database user: Well versed in all aspects of case intake and processing. Experience in processing ICSR’s generated from Pfizer’s entire product portfolio from both clinical and post-marketed routes.
• Subject matter expert on complex vaccine case processing due to being recruited at the height of the pandemic and being involved in the core processing team.
