Imogen Brown

Hi my name is Imogen, I am 22, and I have just finished four years at Newcastle University. I am an extremely hard worker, with transferrable customer service skills, who is keen to expand this skill set. 

For the last four years I have worked as a children’s activity leader at Pied Piper, which has developed my ability to effectively time manage, multitask, and communicate calmly and professionally with customers even in stressful moments. This role, alongside my dedication to my studies, has made me extremely organised. 

 I am an individual who takes initiative, who you can rely on to complete their tasks to a high standard, the first time you ask me. 

I would love to describe myself as someone who will always come to work with a smile on their face, as I genuinely love to work in a team and communicate with people! My experience working with children with Special Education Needs (SEN) has made me confident and patient when communicating and liaising with the public. It has also shown me that I am my most happy when I am surrounded by a supportive team, so creating a dynamic where my team members feel that support and positivity is something I hold as really valuable.

I have worked as a Children's activity group leader, looking after up to 25 children at once, many of whom have Special Educational Needs (SEN). This has enabled me to keep calm under pressure, and communicate professionally at all times, whilst liaising with parents and collegupges in stressful moments. 

I have also completed work experience within an events team, developing my multitasking and organisational skills. These are skills I believe will help me greatly with customer service. 

I have a 2:1 BA in English Literature from Newcastle University, and am currently in the final weeks of completing my Journalism and Media MA from Newcastle.
