This position entails giving pro bono legal advice on divorce through conducting client interviews, drafting divorce applications and advising clients on the court process whilst always being professional and developing my communication skills.
By working with other student advisors, this allowed me to quickly learn about applications for fee exemptions, assess eligibility for legal aid and signpost for assistance with finances and children for a diverse range of clients.

As a research assistant, I was able to attend a research placement at the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, Trento University, Italy, through which I provided research assistance to research fellows at the Centre. Here I researched the barrier to individuals bringing judicial review claims posed by section 31(2A) of the Senior Courts Act 1981.
My organizational skills have allowed me to develop my academic writing skills, discuss project and project ideas as well as developing my ability to locate key information within articles which are relevant to the project whilst balancing this position with my studies.
