About Isobel Toalster:

I am currently in my final year studying Psychology at Durham University. I am looking for a graduate job and am interested in studying Marketing, to start in summer 2024

Experience

Mayfield School, Mayfield, UK.                                                             July - August 2021

Team Leader and Activity Assistant, Summer Camp

  • Demonstrated strong risk assessment abilities by ensuring the safety and wellbeing of a diverse group of children aged 6-10. Throughout the summer camp I prioritised their health and wellbeing whilst also engaging them in various sports and co-curricular activities.
  • Provided educational leadership creating and leading a dynamic schedule of activities, fostering the intellectual and personal development of the children. Implemented innovative teaching techniques to make learning enjoyable and impactful.
  • I enhanced my interpersonal skills, interacting with both children and parents, creating a positive, happy and inclusive environment.

Amuse Private Caterers, Kent, UK.                                                 June 2021 – August 2022

Catering and Kitchen Assistant

  • I gained strong social and communication skills working in a team deciding what tasks everyone was going to focus on and helping people out with their tasks when they were struggling. This ensured everyone in the team felt valued and was able to complete their tasks to the highest standard.
  • I developed my time management skills and ability to work under pressure, especially when working at bigger weddings and events where the food and drinks would need to be delivered quickly in order to serve every guest on time, whilst maintaining a high standard of service. I needed to be flexible and adaptable, as tasks changed at short notice.

Brook Street Job Agency, Kent UK                                             July 2023 – September 2023

Agency Work

  • I developed strong communication skills, working in diverse roles across different industries, effectively collaborating with different teams and clientele on a daily basis.
  • I had to be adaptable and able to complete a wide range of different jobs to a high standard and successfully transition between a range of roles.
  • Performing under pressure was important as some of the jobs I had never done, meaning I had to quickly learn and pick up skills while on the job.
