My passions are looking after and caring for people, my career in the healthcare sector spans decades. I have dedicated two to three years caring for my elderly mum, that was my last job. 

Unfortunately my mum passed away, in September 2021, at the age of 93. I now find myself unemployed.

During my career in the healthcare sector I have worked a wide variety of places, from the NHS, care homes, day centres for adults with learning difficulties, schools, domicilliary care in the community.

I like to think I am caring, compassionate, reliable, trustworthy, helpful, professional and most of all dedicated to the role that I am in at the time. 

There is a lot more I could write but I would rather discuss these things if I get an interview.

Work experience in the healthcare sector includes working in NHS hospitals, cottage hospitals, over 4 years on the stroke ward.

Schools for children with learning difficulties, day centres for adults with learning difficulties. Supported living. Care homes, domicilliary care. 

I also worked for an estate agency as a secretary and viewing properties.

Most of my career has been for agencies and zero hour contracts, so I had to be adaptable because every work environment is different.

My last job was caring for my mother in her final years, where I was like a personal assistant. Communicating with health care professionals, doctors, consultants, getting physio and occupational health on board, dealing with the medications, prescriptions, the pharmacy. Getting the relevant equipment into her house, dealing with bills and finances, shopping, feeding and personal care, hoisting, generally everything she needed. Any arranging appointments with care professionals.

At homewood school, Tenterden, I achieved CSEs English, Maths, history, commerce, home economics, needlecraft. Biology.

SK College of technology, Ashford and Folkestone, Kent. Diploma in business studies. 0 level English, RSA 1&2 typing.then later on NVQ L2 in social care. I did L3, however, I could not be assessed at that time.

By my own volition I undertook a Diploma in SEN and various other courses in IT.
