Jake Freeman

From working since the age of 15 and growing up in a low-income household, I've been able to understand the importance of ‘graft’ better than most. Such qualities have allowed me to pursue my passion in music thanks to the financial support of Awards for Young Musicians and Orchestras for All. Through my time working I've progressed up the hospitality ladder, moving into management in more recent years while also achieving a first in my music degree at LIPA at the same time. My time in music has seen me managing projects from the ground up and pushing ideas and brands from nothing to acclaim in their respective local scenes. I possess critical decision making and team/project management skills and am proficient whilst working to a deadline. Such skills helped me to achieve my degree and put on one of the most successful assessed live music performances at my university despite my unique circumstances behind the scenes.

I've worked in the hospitality industry since the age of 15 and now both work in bar management at a student cocktail bartending but have also had the privilege of working privately for billionaire clientele, working with some of the biggest cocktail bartender companies in the industry such as ‘Escapade Events'. 

In music, I have worked in a plethora of bands working in direct contact with artists as both a session musician and band member but also I have had the opportunity to manage multiple projects where my skills of networking, people management and decision making have been tested and ultimately developed exponentially.

I have recently as of 2024 graduated from the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) with first class honours with the bulk of my marks coming from my music industry management and performance modules.
