About James Prendergast:

Having graduated from University of South Wales
with a 2:1 in Performance & Media in 2019. I have
pursued a number of different career avenues which I
believe has equipped me with skills across a variety of
different sectors within the creative arts and music
industry.
For the last few years I have been working at the
Wales Millennium Centre, mainly working in Creative
Learning where I have been working on the youth
training programme, Creative Voice. Working on the
development of the programme, producing different
courses in a range of artforms and leading on a lot of
the logistics of putting these courses on including the
safeguarding, evaluation, marketing, ticketing and
administration. I have also worked as a freelancer for
a number of organisations in my role as a music
promoter including BBC, Anthem Wales, Independent
Venue Week, Tiny Rebel Brewery, Hub Fest, Swansea
Fringe and Music Venue Trust. This has allowed me to
put on music events across Wales, showcasing
emerging young music artists, which is something I
feel extremely passionate about as I believe these
events give young people an opportunity for their art
to reach new audiences.
