James van Gool

Passionate about sports - cricket and golf in particular!

I am 18 years old and have recently immigrated to the UK from South Africa. I would like to find work coaching sports. I am extremely passionate about sports in general, but in particular cricket and golf. 

Throughout my primary school years, I played first team cricket, rugby and indoor cricket. 

I am a provincial cricketer having been selected for Gauteng cricket and Central Gauteng for indoor cricket for 3 consecutive years. When I was 12, I was selected to tour the UK and play in the u12 county cricket festival. My team came second and I was the top run scorer in my team. In high school, I was the opener for our school's first team and my highest score was 161 runs. In 2021, I was selected to play cricket for the Johannesburg North regional side.

My other passion is golf. I won the junior club championship for my home golf club last year and currently play off a 4 handicap. 

I am passionate about helping children learn sport as I have two younger brothers who I spend time coaching.
