About Jan Twomey:
Over fifteen years experience in management and HR which has provided a range of knowledge and skills in dealing with HR; particularly supporting managers and their staff in the workplace and offering guidance and support in all HR functions. Confidently deals with day to day, complex and wider HR functions including: employee relations, support management, recruitment, data management, organisational development, change management including continuous improvement, staff recognition and benefits administration, training and development, succession planning, implementation and administration of human resources including: documentation, forms, employment policies, personnel record-keeping and liaising with payroll.
Managed complex HR cases and advised on the risks to the organisation. This has included employees with complicated mental health issues, disability discrimination and capability. Able to provide multi-site support for managers and staff and experience of working in the care industry, retail shops, warehouses and offices - in a unionised and non-unionised environments.
Writing and delivering HR training courses on ER functions to promote understanding and provides an opportunity for the managers and senior staff to up-skill their knowledge on HR legislation, company policies to help them to develop their skills in this; thus reducing the impact on the HR department.
A strategic thinker who is able to research, design, plan and deliver complex HR projects to meet individual, legal, departmental and business needs.
A professional, positive and motivated communicator who is a 'people person' and can efficiently deal with individuals on all levels in a professional, friendly and warm manner even when under pressure.
Also, skills and experience include working across H&S, investigating work related injuries, RIDDOR reporting, supporting facility staff, putting together a feature for marketing to promote staff benefits and recognition schemes.
Experience
HR experience across a range of industries including; finance, sales, training & education, care and manufacturing. Worked in SME’s, international groups and multi site predominantly in the private sector.

- CIPD Level 7 Diploma in Human Resource Management
- DISC Trainer
- CIPD Level 5 Certificate in Human Resourcing
- ILM Level 7 in Executive Management
