Jenny McDowell-Langford

I'm a University of Bristol Graduate living in Devon who is seeking full time work in retail and hospitality. I'm highly social and a quick learner who is keen to take on new skills in all areas. I achieved a First Class grade in Ancient History at university, and from this I have taken valuable transferable skills which can be applied to any role such as: presentation skills, the quick memorisation and retention of information, and formal writing. 

At the age of 17 I gained waitressing and pub experience which allowed me to develop skills in customer service. At University I was unable to work as I suffer from multiple disabling conditions, yet I gained journalism experience writing for multiple music publications and presenting a live radio show every week for 3 years. I'm a quick learner and eager to apply myself fully to any job.

I achieved high grades throughout school: my GCSE results included 5 A*s and I completed my A Levels with A*AB. I studied Ancient History at the University of Bristol, an intensive degree which was extremely information heavy and required a lot of independent thought. From this degree I have become proficient in academic writing, presentation skills and expressing myself articulately.
