João Miguel Duarte Pereira

Over my years in the industry I have acquired excellent video conforming, video editing and language mastering skills. I am also fluent (written and spoken) in both English and Portuguese, having lived in Portugal from 2006-2015. My past working experience working as a Digital Technician has provided me with great teamwork and leadership skills. My team worked directly with Disney and provided Language Mastering and video conforming for the streaming platform Disney Plus. Working with such a big brand meant the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines was crucial, as all content was either broadcasted internationally or went directly onto the streaming platform. In my role as Digital Technician, I was able to cater to the clients needs and specifications, which could change suddenly and were not standard across clients. Because of the nature of the work, adaptability and teamwork were essential in ensuring day-to-day operations ran smoothly. I am looking for opportunities to join an organization where I can add value and build on the skills and experience I currently have, and hopefully find a new place to call a second-home.

I have gained a lot of experience throughout my educational and professional career. I have experience with software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, Harding PSE and Ceta software (Facilities and File Manager). 

I have experience as an office assistant, production runner and even as a commercial building cleaner, so I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and put in all my effort, to ensure the overall success of my team.

I recently graduated from Ravensbourne University London, where I studied Digital Television Production. While at university, I learned everything from pre-production to post-production and gained a deeper understanding of the world of Television.
