Joe Pearson

My name is Joe Pearson, and I was born in Norwich, UK, in 1990.

I am a well-educated tutor and education professional, having received my 1st class honours degree from UCL and PgD from the Royal Academy of Art. I have a wealth of experience as a tutor for private families and in institutions in the UK, including G5 universities, Italy and China.

I have taught English, art and humanities in classrooms and for private families (including VVIPS) since 2018. These have ranged from early years to Key Stages 1-4, GCSE and A Levels. I have worked closely with children of all ages to achieve their academic and personal goals, including entrance into top-tier private schools, such as Queen Ethelburga's College, Cardiff Sixth Form College, Abingdon, Badminton, Ashford, St Francis' College and Ipswich School, as well as top UK universities including the University of Cambridge, UCL, Imperial College and LSE.

I have also held mentorship roles for students once they have entered their new place of study, working with their emotional and social development and general well-being and serving as a point of contact for both the student and the institution. Additionally, I have led countless educational excursions to museums and galleries in London, Cambridge, Oxford and other major European cities.

I find working with children to be profoundly rewarding and believe that it is my role to ensure the child/children I am working with are heard and their learning styles are catered to ensure their health, happiness, and education thrive. I put great value on a holistic approach to learning and creating the greatest platform for children to grow into well-rounded individuals who demonstrate self-awareness and emotional intelligence. My interests and experience lie in the creative arts, sports, tech and entrepreneurship. Having exhibited in major art galleries around the world, written scripts that have been taken into development, and played and coached sports to a high level, I hope to use my diverse background to encourage and develop your child’s natural passions, allowing their curiosity to define how we learn together.

My approach is friendly, compassionate, and, most of all, patient whilst encouraging creativity and the expression of ideas. I value working with families who take an active role in their children’s lives and seek to build a team to help their child achieve their potential in every facet of their life. Creating a meaningful connection with the child and their family is paramount and is always immensely fulfilling.
