I have been privileged to realise this belief throughout my career, working to uphold people's dignity while facilitating the engagement, education and understanding that creates agency, fosters acceptance and drives change.

I am passionate about designing and delivering communications and engagement initiatives that create stakeholder investment and achieve optimal outcomes, even in high-pressure environments.

As an excellent written and verbal communicator, I am equally skilled in crafting compelling press releases and delivering engaging presentations. I excel at conveying ideas clearly and persuasively, whether behind a keyboard or in front of an audience.

Communications and Media Manager- Carr Gomm Social Care Charity

Led the development and execution of strategic communications for a national social care charity, highlighting its work tackling social isolation and promoting community inclusion. Managed all internal and external communications, including social media, press, and stakeholder engagement. Developed impactful campaigns to influence policy, support fundraising, and increase public understanding of social care. Created compelling content that showcased the organisation’s impact and amplified the voices of supported people. Managed a communications team of three, aligning efforts with organisational goals and driving engagement across Scotland.

Senior Engagement Specialist- Wellington City Council

Designed and implemented communications and engagement strategies for the city’s ambitious and award winning sustainable transport network. Worked alongside various stakeholder groups through the design, decision and implementation phases for several sustainable transport projects. All projects received strong approval from elected officials, with detailed and accessible community engagement being cited as a reason for their success. 

Digital Inclusion Coordinator- Wellington City Libraries

Developed and delivered a framework for improving digital access and education in excluded and vulnerable communities. Liaised with community and government digital accessibility providers to increase digital literacy and access within the community. Established successful digital literacy programmes for kaumātua (elderly Māori), people with disabilities and rough sleepers.
