About Joshua Mendes:

I am a hard-working and motivated person that is interested in accounting and finance. I enjoy learning to understand difficult concepts, structures and using my knowledge to help make decisions. I have been allowed to do so throughout my time in education by being a part of and leading teams through problem solving activities. With my mathematical background, after a short while of working and getting a feeling for the values that I will be dealing with, I would be able to quickly spot irregularities should there be any, and with my business knowledge, I would be able to assist in the measuring the possible solutions moving forward.   

I study accounting at university, and I am currently approaching the completion of my 3rd year. I am keen on using the knowledge I have gained as well as developing new skills, particularly in Sage, Quickbooks and Xero. 

 

Experience

McDonalds Crew Member – Wood Green, High rd (10/2019 - 08/2020) 
As a Crew Member, I was given tasks of working with a group of others to provide food and service to customers. The store was in a busy area, so we were forced to be adaptable to changes in pace and have excellent communication skills in order complete every order in a short amount of time. My main role was batch cooking. 

Warehouse Operative – Hermes, Enfield Depot (5/2021 – 12/2022) 
As a Warehouse Operative, the most important thing is speed and accuracy. Each person can handle hundreds of packages a day for many hours of day. A physically demanding role that requires a person to remain focused to organize different items
