About Julie Benard:

I am a passionate designer based in Edinburgh, Scotland where I work as an illustrator, motion and graphic designer. 

Drawing on more than a decade of experience, I create impactful visuals that bring ideas and concepts to life.

I love crafting and designing distinct styles to match each project's particular tone and target audience. 

I particularly enjoy collaborating with clients who are dedicated to making a positive impact by producing eye-catching visuals that capture public attention.

Experience

With a decade of experience, I bring a range of skills, including creating bespoke visuals and illustrations, developing print and digital marketing assets, and crafting branding material in line with guidelines. Recently I’ve specialised in motion graphics as I believe that animated stories are becoming a must-have in visual communication. Logotypes and brand guidelines.
 

Based on this experience, here are some of the key responsibilities I feel confident overseeing:

  • Marketing materials for print and digital platforms, such as brochures, flyers, pull-up banners, social media posts, web advertisements and banners
  • Transforming complex information into compelling, easy-to-understand visuals
  • Small to large print publications containing original layouts and 
    clear infographics
  • Bespoke illustrations encompassing a wide range of styles using digital and hand-drawn techniques and capacity to replicate an existing genre
  • Motion design videos including storyboarding, creation of vectorial assets, voice-recording and animation
  • Assisting in film shooting and video editing
  • Management of several design projects simultaneously from ideation to 
    final delivery
  • Knowledge and application of accessibility best practices for 
    web design
