Karen Fisher

I really enjoy my work as a home care worker but feel as though I am not challenged enough. I love to learn new things. I have always had an empathy for people that are poorly or in need and love to make a difference wherever I can for them. 

I began my career as a nursing cadet at Dewsbury and Batley technical college and hospitals. Then trained in hairdressing and beauty therapy and went on to teach it. Now work in care but also have my own business where I work from home doing minor operations with gp's referrals as an advanced electrolysis practitioner and hair removal expert. 

I completed the access to higher education nursing and midwifery diploma last year but could not afford to fill my place at university.
