About Kayla Andrews:
I have always been passionate about working with animals. I'm the type of person who always stops by a passing pet and says hello to them. I’m a bubbly and friendly person who’s not afraid of hard work and always ensures that tasks are completed efficiently. I am committed to helping create a safe and welcoming space for pet owners and to help assist customers with any questions they might have about their pets. I have good customer communication skills, and I am well-spoken. I have studied level 3 Animal management at Brooksby college and achieved: 1st year: Animal biology (pass), Animal welfare and Ethic. 2nd year: MMM overall. I've worked with animals all my life and have had lots of experience working in kennels such as perfect paws in Melton for nearly a year. I have worked in a farm for about a year at gorse hill, helped with cleaning out the animals.

I worked in a café called country cabin. I delivered excellent customer service, ensuring costumers were satisfied with their visit. I took costumers foods and drink orders accurately. I helped maintained clean and organized dining and kitchen area ensuring it is hygienic. I handled payments and transactions efficiently. I worked as a team with kitchen staff to ensure food is served on time and to keep a clean and organised environment.

My responsibilities were feeding and watering animals daily, ensuring their well-being. Making sure their food and water bowls are kept clean and hygienic. I Assisted with health checks and basic animal care under supervision with staff. For example, help catching a farm animal while staff inject the animal with the medication they need. I answered customer questions politely, providing information about farm operations and products. I helped maintain a clean and organized farm by cleaning out all the farm animals’ enclosures to ensure their welfare is being met.

I helped clean the kennels and maintained hygiene by removing waste. I exercised their dogs by taking them out into the field. I communicated customer questions and concerns to senior staff. I would assist with health checks and monitoring of animals. For example, I observed and performed microchipping of puppies under supervision.
stables helper | ironstone riding school | 2021 – 2023
I helped clean out all the stables and maintained a hygienic environment. I fed and watered horses daily, including preparing their hay in hanging baskets. I Led horses while people rode them to ensure safety. I helped groom the horses, maintaining their health and appearance. I would then lead the horses out to the field at the end of the day after use.
