Kayleigh Mccrae

My most passionate successes was when I started my own beauty business, also when I recreated/ branded a dessert shop where I showed my marketing, budgeting and promotional skills. I designed and decorated both shop and salon, trained staff and planned fun team building exercises which helped build team moral.
At college I was awarded ‘student of the year’ then chosen to work in Spain for 2 weeks to train in salons whilst 
learning Spanish along the way. I also proudly achieved 1
st place win for body painting and special effects at World 
Skills UK and won gold & silver medals at AHT competitions with hair and makeup. My other successes was
producing a fashion show/catwalk in ‘New Look’ clothing store which helped the college students complete work 
experience along with helping New Look draw in customers. I then had the pleasure of working in Theatre having 
leadership role - head makeup artist. This was for the two month production ‘Cinderella’ at Rutherglen town hall and
Hamilton town hall. These experiences and life events is where I find myself most happy, feeling accomplished and 
give’s me more ambition and direction to where I want to be in life.
I built my own media wall within my 
house. Planned my wedding, made our 3 tier wedding cake, bouquets, invites, decor and re-designed my wedding 
dress.  I enjoy DIY, arts & crafts, shopping/fashion, hill walking, 
watching T.V with my family & learning new languages.
