Responsibilities:

• Daily monitoring and management of Nationalgrid Telecoms network to ensure maximum network and service availability.
• Configuration and activation of VPN tunnels on Cisco router and Fortinet firewall for Scada and CCTV traffic.
• Management of Network devices and traffic policies on Network Core and Edge Firewall.
• Centralized management of network and security policies on Fortimanager.
• Creating and managing third-party VPN connections on Fortinet Firewall
• Network traffic monitoring and analysis on SolarWinds.
• IP allocation and management on SolarWinds IPAM
• Addition of devices on SolarWinds, Radius server, and Syslog for management.
• Configuration of Westermo Lynx 208 (L208) devices for Scada server and VPN tunnels.
• Configuration of Westermo Lynx (L210) devices as a Router extension functionality, for the management of remote devices.
• Scada line management and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with Field Engineers to create and set up new 10g and 100g nodes and circuits on Infinera DWDM optical Network (DNA-M), and 10mbps SDH and PDH Radio nodes and circuits on CXR iNMS Integrated Network Management System.

• Site monitoring and access using the Nationalgrid Atlas application.

• Liaise with 3rd parties, NOC to NOC peering, and vendors to ensure all scheduled maintenance is documented and communicated and risks evaluated.
• To own all network and hub-related incidents ensuring regular informative communication to the Teams and Partners
